Teaching Philosophy

As an art educator, I aim to cultivate a nurturing environment that empowers students to take creative risks, explore new techniques, and embrace the unexpected outcomes that accompany experimentation.

In pursuit of this goal, I draw inspiration from educational pioneers Carter G. Woodson and June Jordan who advocated for student-centered pedagogies that honor and respond to the diverse lived experiences and perspectives of learners.
